September Newsletter and Specials!!!

Hi all,

It is newsletter time again! In addition to my newsletter, I am also attaching the Halloween and Holiday specials. We have alot of things going on for you to have a chance to get you and your family in for the holidays. So don't wait to book your session we are starting to fill up quick.

We will be offering specially designed Holiday cards this year, I will post those in a few days, and we are also offering a few packages to chose from. And as always, don't forget we offer mini holiday albums, canvas prints, and personalized pendants.

September to Remember!!

Here is the special for the rest of September. I still have a few spots available, so book now to recieve this great deal. Holiday specials will be coming out very soon as well. We will be having a Party in the Park and a Halloween Day for kids to take pictures in there costumes. Lots of exciting things going on!!!

Specials!

Lots of new specials will be announced in the next few days so be on the look out. I am currently booking through the end of the year, so make your appointment now before all slots fill up. Last date to book for the Christmas Holidays will be November 28th, that way I can ensure you have your order before Christmas. New holiday design cards will be coming out soon as well. The deadline for those will be November 23rd, so that you will have them to mail out to your family and friends before the holidays. Also don't forget you can order holiday cards, whether I take the photograph or not. If you have a favorite shot you can email it to me and I will put it on the cards for you.

We are thinking about having a Halloween special October 31st, you will be able to bring your child in for pictures in his or her costume, the kids will also be able to trick or treat here. If you would be interested please email me at marylindseyphotography@gmail.com and let me know.

Busy Busy!

Were do I start, the studio is open as you know and is so far doing really well. I have been busy busy editing from all the shoots. Trying to work on my newsletter for this month, still have not gotten it out. Also trying to come up with some new designs for my cards, website, newsletter, blog...etc etc etc. It is very hard, I want something different, something sweet, but not to kiddish at the same time. I am really struggling with this, I like so many different styles and colors. So needless to say I will be launching a new look and soon as I can decide what I want.

Skylar started 5th grade, and really seems to like it alot. It has been nice to have the time to myself to get some work done, but I have to admit I miss her when so is gone. I can not believe how fast she is growing up.

I better get back to editing, here are a few pics that I have been working on.

Busy, Busy, Busy

I have been very busy my first week in business, let see we had our Grand Opening on the 1st, which went really good, then I had 6 shoots this week, then of course all of the editing. I am very excited and hope that it continues to do well. Niki took a well deserved break and went to Gulf Shores this weekend, with her family, and I will get to take one at the end of the month to Gulf Shores as well. We are going with my father in law, sister in law and her husband and son, and of course me, Travis and Skylar, it should be alot of fun we can't wait to get away. Thanks paw paw Glenn!

I am working on some new specials and other fun stuff for my clients so stay tuned for that! My newsletter should go out this week, I know I am alittle behind on it, but with the clients, editing, and getting Skylar ready for school, I did not have much time to get it the way I want it. I am going to be launching a new logo very soon as well, that my wonderful husband designed for me, he is the best! I can't wait for everyone to see it.

Skylar will start 5th grade this Thursday, I am very excited for her and very sad and nervous at the same time, my baby is growing up! I am sure millions of moms around the world are feeling the same way this time of year. I just hope and pray that she does well. I am sure she will, she is a great kid.

Hey all, I have been busy editing pics for the last two days, and still have a few more to go. Here are some of Kadyn, she is so cute. Tara thanks for letting me have to chance to photograph her, it was alot of fun. Also here are a few of Chico, so well behaved, thanks Lisa for bringing her in for me to take photos of, I have plenty more to post later.

Grand Opening!

Here are some pictures of the studio, it is finally finished (well almost) and open for business! We had our grand opening yesterday. I have been busy editing pictures for my clients and will post more tomorrow, but for now here are a few from our first clients of the day Payton and Addie, they are so beautiful and a joy to photograph. Cara thanks for bringing them in today and being our first client of the day. Thanks again to everyone for their support.

Sneak Peek!!!

Here are a few photos from a shoot that I did yesterday of Zoe Laine. She is so beautiful, I hope that you enjoy looking at them as much as I enjoyed taking them. Christy and Darren thanks for being my first official clients in the new studio, it was great to meet you and Zoe and I can not wait to take more pictures of her growing up.

Update!

Just a quick up date, things have been crazy. The studio is looking good, Niki painted the bathroom Friday and on Sunday her and Daniel hung the curtains, the TV, mirror, and the shelves in the waiting area. It looks really good and they did a great job, thanks so much for all of your hard work Niki and Daniel. Of course I did not just sit around, well yeah I kind of did. I was working the Craft show at the Ponchatratrain center, it was terrible. They had a lot of people, but not alot of buying going on. The people that made money were the ones selling food. Hummm - maybe the next show I will make cupcakes......Cupcakes by Mary..... Another business, can I handle it.... NOT! I will prevail and find my nich or just make mine stand out better, maybe I should invest in a neon sign.

Studio is coming along.

Hi All!

The studio is coming along nicely, still alot to do before the August 1st opening. Niki has her big show this weekend in Baton Rouge and I have a big show next weekend in New Orleans, so that is taking some time away from the studio, but we will get it done, I am sure of it.

Me and Travis went and saw Transformers 2 last night with our good friends Heidi and Corey, it was good, not much of a story line but alot of action. Of course Skylar was still waiting up for us when we got in at 1:30 am, not sure what I am going to do about her sleeping habits, or lack thereof, she never sleeps and all I want to do is sleep!

I will be posting some new photos of the studio soon and from Niki's bridal show. Till then have a great weekend!

Newsletter

Finally got our first newsletter designed.

We already have some people inquiring about making appointments. SO exciting! Hopefully we will open with a bang and stay that way! We are going to have more exciting events coming up like photography classes and parties. So keep an eye out. Will post some more pictures tomorrow after our couch arrives. Lots to do before August 1st.

4th of July and Studio Talk

Hope everyone had a wonderful and safe 4th of July. We had a very busy holiday weekend. On Friday, me and Niki went shopping for the new studio from 8:30 am till 9:00pm! We were so tired but we got alot done, I think it is going to look great when we are done. The couch comes in on Thursday, so I will post some more photos then. I can't wait till is is done, I am one of those people that just want it finished, but really don't want to deal with it at the same time. I am working on our newsletter today and hope to have it sent out by tomorrow of Wednesday, it is going to be filled with all kinds of great information. On Sunday we spent most of the day cleaning the studio and Niki went and got more things from Lowes, I got a few things moved in but have alot more to go. Well I better get back to work, but I leave you with a few photos of my husband cooking on his father days gift for the 4th.

Our Studio!!!

Well here it is our new studio space! We are so excited, this is going to be great and look great when we are done. Thanks again to Lisa and Charlotte they are the best landlords ever! Our grand opening is set for August 1st, be on the look out for specials and more info soon.

Website Finished!

A few weeks ago, I took Skylar and her best friend Hattie to Avery Island, home of the Tabasco plant. It was alot of fun and very beautiful. They have alot of history on that island. First we went to the Tabasco plant, then Emerald Gardens where we saw lots of alligators, and then we left the island and went to the Konriko Rice Plant. Here are a few pictures from our day.

A little bit closer!

We met with Lisa today, about the studio, everything is coming together. We got our lights, water, and permits today. Now just waiting on July 1st. Thanks Lisa for all the help.

On to sad news, I am sadden that Michael Jackson passed away yesterday. He was a big part of my childhood, Thriller was the best! I remember dancing to it in my kitchen. He will be missed, by family, friends, and fans like me.

Well here it is, our new studio space. We are going to be located downtown Ponchatoula right above Nest Interiors. We are those 5 windows on the top left. I will post more pics on the inside once we start moving in on July 1st. We are going to be having our grand opening on August 1st, which does not give us much time to get it all together. So we will be crazy over the next month. Niki also has a bridal show in Baton Rouge on the 12th and I have Christmas in July on the 19th. More about those later.
