Website Finished!

A few weeks ago, I took Skylar and her best friend Hattie to Avery Island, home of the Tabasco plant. It was alot of fun and very beautiful. They have alot of history on that island. First we went to the Tabasco plant, then Emerald Gardens where we saw lots of alligators, and then we left the island and went to the Konriko Rice Plant. Here are a few pictures from our day.

A little bit closer!

We met with Lisa today, about the studio, everything is coming together. We got our lights, water, and permits today. Now just waiting on July 1st. Thanks Lisa for all the help.

On to sad news, I am sadden that Michael Jackson passed away yesterday. He was a big part of my childhood, Thriller was the best! I remember dancing to it in my kitchen. He will be missed, by family, friends, and fans like me.

Well here it is, our new studio space. We are going to be located downtown Ponchatoula right above Nest Interiors. We are those 5 windows on the top left. I will post more pics on the inside once we start moving in on July 1st. We are going to be having our grand opening on August 1st, which does not give us much time to get it all together. So we will be crazy over the next month. Niki also has a bridal show in Baton Rouge on the 12th and I have Christmas in July on the 19th. More about those later. Ok, two days in a row, I guess it is going to rain! OH! I forgot we are in a drought. Oh well. The plans are coming along great for the studio. We have lots of great ideas that we are working on. Hopefully we will be able to offer something alittle different from the other photographers in this area. Change is coming!! Isn't that what everyone is screaming.

I had the great pleasure of photographing a friend of mines kids when they were home from Texas last week, they are great kids and so beautiful. Thanks Kasey for letting me take pics of Kennedi and Dylan, and Kennedi and Dylan thanks for being so great! Of course Ava and Noah are always great they let me snap of few of them as well for advertising. Check out a preview of the pics here, more can be seen on my website.

Change is in the air!

Ok, I am going to try hard to get better at this blogging thing. Since I last wrote, there have been alot of changes happening in my life. The biggest and the best is that me and Niki have decided to open up our very own photography studio. Wow what a HUGE step this is for us. It is very exciting and very scary at the same time. We get the space on July 1st and are shooting for August 1st grand opening. We will offer photography for children, families, maternity, and Seniors. Niki is going to specializes in weddings and boudior photography which is very exciting and different. Of course we both love location photography, but this way we will be able to offer both to our clients. I will also still continue on with Mary Lindsey Designs, which is my handmade jewelry, banners, invitations, cards, etc..... company, this will also provided me a space to create these items instead of having it all over my house (which makes my husband so happy).
