Christmas is over, Now on to the New Year!

I hope everyone has had a wonderful Christmas! We sure did, even though it was busy and very hectic, I enjoyed every minute of it. Being able to be home with my family this year and not having to work has been wonderful.

Alot has happened since my last post. First I did the Art and Craft Fair in Covington, I was not worth the time and effort that I had to put into it. People were not in the buying mood with this crazy economy of ours, and I don't blame them. I have been busy since the show so that has been fun. I would rather do what I am doing than anything else. On the 11th of Decemember it snowed here in good ole' Ponchatoula. It has not snowed here since I was in Jr. High. Wow it has been a long time. Here are a few pics from the day.

It was really beautiful and hope it will snow again soon.

Update on school. I recieved my acceptance letter and my finiancal aid is finally in place. I have to register for my classes next week, so it is official I finally get to go back to school in January. I have wanted to do this for a long time and now I get my chance.

New Years Eve is Skylar's 10th birthday, they grow up so fast. We are now starting to prepare for that this week. Another fun filled crazy week. Here is a copy of here invitation that I designed.

Hope everyone had a great Christmas and a wonderful New Year!!

Family Photos

Here are some pics from a family photoshoot yesterday. It was very cold so we only did a few. First time I really used the self timer so that I could be in the shot. I think it worked out well. We are going to attempt it again in the spring so it will not be so cold and Noah (the baby in the pic) will be alittle bit bigger.

My New Blog

Hi and welcome to my new blog. This is all new to me so forgive me if it takes a little while for me to get used to. Ok, about me, my name is Mary Lindsey, I live in Louisiana with my husband and daughter. I love photography, it is my passion. I am going to be going back to school in January to get my degree in Fine Arts, I can not wait. It is something that I have wanted to do for a long time, and since I was recently laid off from my job, there could not be a better time. In this blog I will be posting photographs that I have taken and hope that I can get some feed back on them. I love to try new things and hope that everyone will enjoy them as much as I enjoy creating them. I will also keep everyone up to date on my school journey. Here are a few photographs that I took of my daughter and nephew this past weekend.
